Old mushrooms

It's always a surprise opening the vegetable compartment in our fridge. Today, I found an old and smushy head of cabbage (not mine) and two packs of baby-bellas from the beginning of the semester (mine).

There was no question that the cabbage had spoiled, but I couldn't tell if the mushrooms had gone bad. Anyhoo, after washing them, they smelled safe... so they went into my ravioli sauce. Hopefully, cooking them eliminated any harmful agents.
